Paxton’s work explores the fluid intersections between identity, memory, and environment. Our sense of self is shaped by the landscapes we move through, the people who inhabit them, and the spaces that hold our stories. These elements act not as passive backdrops but as active participants—shaping experience and belonging. Memory, fragile and fragmented, serves as both material and metaphor, leaving behind traces that question what remains and what fades.

Within this framework, Paxton’s pieces exist in their own worlds—between the familiar and the unknown. They challenge conventional ideas of adornment and beauty, forming new dialogues between material and structure. By asking questions such as What is jewelry? Must it always relate to the body? The work invites viewers to reconsider the boundaries between object and adornment.

Through this inquiry, Paxton reimagines jewelry as both personal and autonomous—an embodiment of thought, transformation, and the subtle imprints left by time, memory, and touch.
